Placement of your control in the proper category is extremely important if you want users to be able to easily find your control. You can place your control in a high level category and share the space with many others, or you can be as precise as possible and try to fill in the less populated categories. The choice is yours.

The download URL is a required field for all controls. The URL must point to a page where the control or the source can be downloaded from. This can be the root of your website if the location changes often, but the control must be readily accessible. No links to executables, zip files, or other forms of downloadable media will be approved.

Support Name should be a valid contact and is used in place of a user profile for contacting the author. This is used for legacy support of controls that aren't linked to profiles, but also provides a first impression name and an easy method of contacting a control author.
