How Do I: Use ResourceDictionary Elements Exported from Expression Design 2

Expression Design 2 is a great tool for generating ResourceDictionary elements (DrawingBrush and ImageDrawing UI elements) that can then be consumed by WPF applications. Todd Miranda shows how to do just that in this video.

Hey Todd,

I want to thank you making these WPF video tutorials. Please keep them coming as they are really beneficial to those who want to get their feet wet with WPF + XAML. I have a few requests/suggestions to make:

1. I would very much like to learn some of the 3D API in WPF and perhaps even go on to write HLSL shaders. :D If possible, could you deal with some of these topics?

2. I know that these tutorials are aimed at those whose knowledge of programming is close to nil but at times the tutorial becomes a bit of a drag as you re-visit some of the topics that were dealt with in previous tutorials. For eg; if you create a button with a blue background, you don't need to actually show us each of the steps. The XAML would suffice in such a case.

These are just suggestions. Even if you can't implement them, it doesn't matter because the tutorials are great anyway. Cheers.

@ngelo.

Todd,

This video is extremely helpful to me but when I imported part of our corporate branding logos one of them came in with a white stroke around all the letters.  Is there an easy way to take all of that out at once from expression or do I need to go back and redo the .ai file that I imported from? The illustrator files were made by someone else and they aren't here anymore, lol.
