How Do I: Retrieve XML Data From the Server in an XBAP Application

Due to security issues with XBAP applications running in the context of a web browser, it is often difficult to get an XBAP application to retrieve data and files from the web server. The difficulty is not necessarily in the necessary code as it is in making sure the settings are all correct. In this video, Todd Miranda will demonstrate how to retrieve an XML file from the server in an XBAP application.

I would like to suggest a tutorial if I might, relating to XBAPs.  I think it would be very useful if someone could show how to access a remote API (like Windows Live).  I think a good example would be to make a simple XBAP (in partial-trust mode) where the user can enter a search term and have their search results returned to them.  Now that WCF is supported in XBAPs this should be doable, I just don't know how myself.  Anyhow, I can't find any example of this anywhere on the web.  Thanks!

Great videos Todd, I am learning a great deal of new stuff! However, some of these videos jump or skip and it makes it difficult to follow properly, I think it is your capture software.

Again, Thanks for the content!
