Tool to find unused Resources in WPF/Silverlight XAML files

NickBaker77 is on the WPF Forum looking for a tool to find unused Resources in XAML files.  I’m not sure if one exists…however, for those of you looking to try out System.Xaml.dll APIs, I replied with an outline on how I would write such a tool.

Rob,

Pistachio by Grant Hinkson should help here. This link might be out of date, but it is the announcement: www.granthinkson.com/.../announcing-pistachio-wpf-resource-visualizer

Cheers,

Jaime

Grant Hinkson made a tool called Pistachio a while back that aids in finding unused resources in a solution:

Not sure if this app supports silverlight solutions.

Are you talking about Silverlight or WPF?

For Silverlight there is the ComponentOne XapOptimizer, it removes unused XAML resources and dead code (a pretty common scenario when you use third party libraries).
