Please get some high quality images, and post them. Also please try and explain to the mal-informed community of developers that having a Ribbon control in Visual Studio would be a disaster.

I'm sure Jason (or others) will eventually post some high quality images. Beyond that, we'll be sharing a beta (can't say the date) that you can try out in person.
I'm also sure the VS UI folks will be able to comment about Ribbon. I'm not that close to it, but I'm sure it was considered. They either decided, no not for VS2010, or no, it isn't appropriate at all. I know that some apps/set of users aren't appropriate for Ribbons.
